My sister as had her xbox for abit now, and all as bin fine. But, I got a xbox the other day and now when we are both on we can't connect to to each others game or party, and no one can connect to us.

We have a voger 2500 and on BT, how do we go about fixing this?

Thanks,
Jo

Unless you can configure one to use a different set of ports from the other (and AFAIK you can't), you won't be able to get the two to be connectable from the outside world. Such is the wonder of Network Address Translation.

They should work fine for outgoing traffic though, i.e. if you're connecting to a server somewhere else and so are other people.

Yes, having one public IP is the issue here. Putting one in DMZ wouldn't do a thing - the forwarding rules would mean the Xbox which wasn't in the DMZ would get the traffic and the one in the DMZ would get nothing.

How about if I use two diffent modems with diffent ips?

That would work but is a rather expensive route to take. If you are on ADSL you will need 2 phone lines.

Easiest way to have 2 connections would probably be on ADSL via a BT line and one Virgin cable line coming in.
