Iomega Select 1TB External Hard Drive Stopped Working

Morning all,

My Iomega Select 1TB External Hard Drive has just completly stopped working :/

Was listening to music on it last night fine, come down this morning and its deaded.

The light on the back doesnt even light up, have tried a different plug socket in case that had gone but nothing.

Only had it about 4 months, and its got ALL my music collection on it, which i dont fancy having to burn across again

Any ideas?

Had same hard drive that windows stopped detecting. Only difference was, mine lit up and span up.

I dismantled the case and popped it in as an internal drive, and its working fine now, so I assume the little pcb inside the case died.

If yours doesn't even spin/light up - then perhaps it's bitten the dust. Could try a different power source if you have one.
