And so it begins!!! :) :) Thankfully I ain't under no NDA :p

Yup CPU-Z doesn't read it correctly but thats to be expected.

Apparantly next week we see some leaked Cinebench 11 results - :D

From what I'm reading though (with my uber google translation skills!) Single-threaded performance ain't as good as multi - so don't expect miracles :(

Eagerly awaiting single and multi threaded benchmarks for perfomance. Would be great to see a revolutionary bit of tech that is ahead of the market.

Personally i think i will be dissappointed but this is merely my own opinion, I am not much of a techie when it comes to these things but I would love to see it do well, I just somehow don't believe it will compete apart from 'maybe' in price, however this thing has been in development for so long are AMD really going to sell it for cheap as chips?

I mean really what sort of prices are estimated here? What do you guys think rough pricing will be for the uber chip?

Sure its posted in this thread somewhere the slide showing system costs v's a sandybridge system. JF-AMD hasn't denied it either

That would mean about £300 tops for the cpu only ;)

£300 tops mate - this is rip off britain we live in lol

From an american site (quotes are in dollars) - I'm guessing more like this:
My guess at pricing:
FX-4110 aimed at i3 2120 @ 150$
FX-6110 aimed at i5 2500k @ 200$
FX-8110 aimed at i7 2600k @ 300$
FX-8130P 125W @ 400$

Oh ok, thanks, i guess we shall see then, but I am really very interested in the performance aspect as Im sure eveybody else is awaiting, but one thing shall be certain, I won't be changing platform from Intel to AMD for nothing for an extremely long time unless it is well worth it

Bummer.....mainly use emulators these days, and they are all about single threaded performance, so it looks like i maybe going down the 2500k route afterall..:(

....obviously i'll wait for reviews before committing.

There is the fact the Turbo will be quite high on these so Single Threaded performance will probably be on par with 2500k/2600k - not a beater but on par.

Multi-thread however should exceed ;) (well heres hoping anyhoo!)

Either way - I'm sticking with AMD - Either I keep my X6, or upgrade to BD if its awesomness overrwhelms me :D
