**Fan Roundup**

Thanks, very useful.

Cracking start nice one :)

Im soooo drawn between the apache and scythe GT 1450 rpm atm. My main aim is decent cooling as quiet as poss.

According to your finding the apache is as good as the 1850rpm typhoon, im guessing it will be a lot better than the 1450rpm typhoon?

Damn it, I hate decisions :D

I need a front & side intake and top exhaust. If the GT's were better id replace the apaches i have in push/pull on my ALC ECO R120.

BTW. Anyone ever manage to work out what the stock fan on the ALC eco actually is? at 1850rpm it really is quite quiet!

This is a really first rate round up, massive credit for the detail. However, I would like to hear your opinion of the 120mm Coolermaster Sickleflows. If the listed specifications are right they should outperform every fan here albeit at a cost of higher db.

I would give the Gentle Typhoon the slight edge on the performance/noise ratio as far as heatsinks go/ probably becasue it can spin at higher rpms with low noise, which means high static pressure. However it is harder to find, un-braided cable, limited accesories and quite dear. I also think the Apache could be the better case fan, and it has PWM.

Extraordinarii I indeed yould like to see how sickleflows would compare, they have a well proven design that's for sure.

Maybe for the radiator testing...

Ok so at full rpm the 1850rpm Gt is more efficient and quieter than the apache. What about the 1450 rpm GT? tbh I was looking to keep pitch and tone the same rather than using different fans and i dont really want to use a fan controller, which is why i originally went with the apache.

.... Ive now almost lost all my hair working this out so much damn money :D
