Hi gang, new to forums so sorry for puting my question in gen discussion, but i need a bit help,

How do i set up dirt3 to work at optimum performance and speed?

I have 2 XFX 1Gb cards (2 slot ones :( ) crossfired, The game plays great to a point and i dont know if its my settings or my hardware, thats No WoRkin :(

Any ideas much apreaciated.

:D

Well we have id'd the issue, looks like its a software fault with the "rain" fx in finland.

Must be a bug that they are going to fix in the close future, me hopes :D

Any tips gang? Got all my settings on ultra or high and works fine, :D oh i also tuned up my BLK frequency to 105, seams to have helped :D

i had all kinds of issues to start with, turns out it was drivers.

had the flickering menus and flakey rain road surfaces,

updated to Catalyst 11.6 and all is well. I am getting 51fps avg and 70fps max all on high settings :D

im still getting flickering menues, and the rain issue realy peaved me off last night!!!!!
I upgraded to 11.6 as soon as it was out, getting Dirt to run at min 56 av 60 max 63.
Every other track, perfect amazing detail but finland, it seems the rain is causing it :(
Or is it my xfx HD 5770's? I see your runnng on 2 HD4890's, is that a better card than mine?

Dang, my problem is showing up in google search :)
Mabye now, someone can help fix my issue, to repeat
My fault with Dirt 3 seems to only be with Finland, in the rain
I realy noticed the fault when driving at the start, short straght to 90 tight left over bridge, it seems to jump / stagger as you rip over the bridge, the controler takes no inputs and the screen seems to freeze for less than a second then it trys to catchup with its self, realy upseting me as i love the GFX so far... Using 11.6 and 11.6 profiles, full remove and clean install using driversweep, issue still aparent :(
Is anyone on this forum using two xfx HD 5770's?

i dont think its your cards tbh mate, as you say it is a known issue, fingers crossed they get a hotfix out sharpish as they are pimping it as a "ATI" and "crossfire" game

4890 is effectively a DX10 version of your card, about the same grunt, maybe a tiny bit quicker.

Well i disabled the crossfire and it works without the stutter, just not as good as it used to run with crossfire enabled :(
Thanks for the help phatboy :D
