Asus P8Z68-V Pro/GEN3 + Intel Smart Response Setup

Hi,

I've just completed two builds based around this mobo and was hoping to setup the Intel Smart Response however cannot find any instructions beyond setting SATA to RAID and installing the Intel Smart Response Technology software.

I have done both however do not see any accelleration tab as mentioned in the details I have found.

The setup I have uses a 120GB Intel 510 SSD and a 1TB WD Black, the OS is installed on the SSD, is this maybe why I cannot set this up?

OS should be installed on mechanical HD and you use SSD as cache drive, also in BIOS set it to RAID before you install OS.

Install chipsets drivers etc ,I installed my Intel SRT RAID driver software last from within Windows after OS is installed.

Few guides around http://www.overclockers.com/forums/s...d.php?t=684542 .

You can have the OS installed on the SSD but you need to allocate a certain amount of space on it to act as a cache for the HDD if want to take advantage of Intel SRT.

Hi,

Thanks for the replies, after spending several hours trying to get PC setup turns out the Intel SSD I have is faulty (confirmed with the Intel SSD Toolbox).

Now to wait on a replacement to arrive and try again.
