Just bought a XL2420T via Benq online shop last week for £335, got delivered promptly, after an hour of use I found 2 dead pixels, but because they are "not in the centre of the screen" so the policy is 5 dead pixels are acceptable.

If I cannot receive a full refund, I would advise any protential buyers to avoid this monitor. Very unhappy experience. I have been using Samsung 20s then 22s monitors and Samsung TVs, never give me a problem. First time I bought something from Benq then 2 dead pixels and no refund nor return!

Yes - you should be eligible for return under DSR assuming you contacted them within 7 days of receiving the monitor. Contact BenQ customer support and state this. If they aren't willing to help you out I will forward your details to somebody from BenQ who may be able to help you out. Dead pixels do happen, unfortunately, and most of the time DSR and better luck next time is all you can hope for.

The representative said it will be very expensive to send it back to Netherlands so advised me to keep the monitor because 2 dead pixels not in the center is acceptable and offered me £20 refund ONLY...

Did they state how expensive? I would imagine under £30. The Netherlands isn't really that far from here and I'm sure anything is better than having a £335 monitor that nobody will want to pay much for.

Well see how you find the monitor other than the dead pixels. Would you be happy with it and want to buy it again, in hindsight, if it were free from dead pixels? If yes then maybe cut your losses. Send it back under DSR, cough up for the postage and buy it shortly from a UK retailer for around £270. That way you will technically have saved money compared to keeping your BenQ at the inflated direct-buy Euro price.

This is very dissapointing news, i was looking into buying this monitor but may now give it a miss. I would also like to know your views on the monitor apart from the pixel issues.

Thanks
