Driver Sweeper V3

Driver Sweeper has some toolbar included with it or something so just uncheck it during install to make sure you only get driver sweeper and not some useless add on.

Install Guide

The CCC of these beta drivers is a little buggy. So we will use the CCC from the 12.1 preview drivers. Follow these instructions.

1.Uninstall your current ati drivers unless youre already on 12.1 in which case skip to 5
2.Reboot into safe mode
3.Run driver sweeper, analyse and remove all ati entries. Reboot.
4.Install 12.1 express install (choose custom if you dont want hydravision). Reboot.
5.Run the setup file in the beta drivers, uncheck everything you can apart from display driver. It will say you can update this. Click next, wait for it to finish and youre good to go. Don't restart, just play or go into CCC and increase the power to +20. After you next restart overdrive may vanish.

Q&A

Where is the gaming section and Overdrive?

Try changing your resolution and then open it again, this worked for me.
what might also help is closing CCC.exe in task manager and then opening it again.

Tried this a few days ago, did not work well with eyefinity & crossfireX in BF3 at all.
Should be good for single GPU/non-eyefinity users though, I seem to remember the benchmark was using a single 6950.

Did you use any caps with these? My friend said he didnt use caps. I wonder if the old caps harm the performance. Anyway im going to try them without caps first and see what its like. I'll post my findings back here.

Seems like everyone is reporting huge gains in BF3 with this driver. However there is a snag, seems the version of CCC in this release is a little buggy.

To get around this you need to uninstall the drivers/CCC and reinstall the drivers from this set but use the CCC from the Jan 3rd 8.95 set which can be downloaded here.

I'm in the process of doing this, again will report back once done. The gains are worth it for me.
