Ugh, the V home hub is so bad, I have a wireless card in my PC because my dad's fussy and I used to get 4 bars constant on my router and with this home hub crap I get constant 2 bar!
my wrt54g also managed 30Mb/sec on tomato, though curiously i cant achieve that with my laptop or tablet, only my phone manages it over wifi. wan-lan is ok but im only on 50mb.
I'm in same boat too when my 30meg connection gets doubled, I have a Linksys Wrt54G and its super stable and is fine for a wired connection (not bothered about wireless speed as the kids and wife only connect wirelessly) but I wonder what the limits are for this when speeds increase.
PS; Have superhub from virgin, but it reboots several times everyday when it is in anything other than modem mode only !
I had problems with the WRT54GL when I had it on my 20Mb line as the household is a heavy use LAN the WAN<>LAN throughput would get bogged down and I'd get slow download speeds and LAN transfers.
Upgraded to various other Gigabit routers from Sitecom to Netgears of various sorts and in the end settled on the WNDR3700 v1 which has been superb from day 1. Excellent Gigabit speeds and excellent wireless reception. It has not skipped a beat for internet speeds either and now manages the 50Mb line. It will be equally fine on 120Mb when the speeds upgrade.
Bung the superhub in modem mode and attach a quality router. I can recommend the WNDR but the Asus RTN series is also very excellent.
Well I managed to pick up a WRT54GL from a kind gentleman in the MM to play around with. I put on the latest Tomato (Toastman) firmware and my preliminary tests show that it can sustain about 45 mbps WAN-LAN which pretty much max's out the CPU running at 250Mhz.
