The two concepts aren't mutually exclusive. Farting on the bus is both legal and immoral.
But can't be helped if you can't keep it in. It's natural after all.

Whilst we have to suffer the spineless, greedy, out-of-touch hypocrites who only listen to the needs of Bankers, Corporations and owners of Mass Media that 'run' this Country, then it should be the Public Duty of every single citizen to avoid paying as much Tax as possible.
Would you avoid paying tax if you could?
Well, this thread wasn't predictable. TBH, I'm on the side of Jimmy Carr. I would spend as much as I must to HMRC and not a penny more. I'm not in the business of giving donations to the government.
[And it is for this kind of reason that I am delighted to hear that you claim that you will never have spawn to perpetuate your smug, self-satisfied, selfish genes
Oh and there's not a single working person here who wouldn't pay less taxes if they could.
But it saddens me that you probably will, and will happily sit there taking child benefit, tax credits, and using all of the other wonderful resources paid for by taxes paid by large corporations and high earners whilst teaching your own urchin offspring the same ridiculous values and anti-establishment morals which are only serving to drive this country into a pit of self loathing ineptitude.
Instead of bashing the rich for being better at what they do than you are, why don't you get off your filthy left wing hippy backside, get a wash and start earning some money so you can donate it all to our panoptic welfare system by way of tax.
Does anyone know of any similar schemes for say... somebody who earns substantially less than Jimmy Carr?
Asking for a friend of course
This line of reasoning is crazy. He's paid the amount of tax he was required to.
We can't be angry at him for not paying more unless we believe government taxation levels should be higher for everyone. Put your petty jealousy aside, there's no moral argument here.
What??
Hes not in public office, he hasn't done anything wrong how can he not continue?
Oh and lolstockhausen another stupid thread. I know people I used to work with on 40-50k who were on tax avoidance schemes etc, most everyone with a brain is at it should we all be morally lambasted too? People ate too stupid to sort it got themselves so instead blame others from jealousy.
That one line made ploughing through this thread worthwhileStockhausen you have a special skill at making even the most rational viewpoint seem like the retarded ramblings of a ritalin-fuelled child.
does it matter how much tax you avoid as long as you spend the money in the UK?
If I earn 100k and pay no tax but spend all 100k in the UK then thats ok for hte economy? - money stays in the country
if I earn 30k (and pay tax) but send half of it to my family in x y or z country thats bad for the economy? - money leaves the country
or is that totally wrong thinking?
