pc freezes after long idle

Hi everyone

My pc freezes when I let it run overnight. Any idea why it happens ?

I'm running Win7 64. My specs are
3570k
Z77 mobo Gigabyte
8 gig ram Corsair
SSD 128 Crucial M4

Could it be something to do with hibernate or the other power saving settings? That would be the first place I would look.

When you say freeze is the whole PC locked up or can you recover it without a reboot?

I bet

that you got Radeon gpu. If yes its drivers.....

Why?

Freezing whem idle is much more likely to be to do with sleep or hibernate or a power saving setting not working properly.

Mine freezes when I leave it overnight, only after upgrading to my 7950. Hibernation and sleep turned off also.

hum hum you are spot on ! I actually have a msi radeon 7950...

So I should get other drivers ? which ones ?
