USB bandwidth

I'm having trouble with USB bandwidth.

Currently I have dual monitors, and on the other side of the room a TV also linked to the PC. Consequently I have 2 sets of controls.

In my PC's USB ports I have:
Microphone
Wireless Mouse
USB Hub > My monitors USB ports > Cable (which has no device attached)
Micro USB cable (No device attached, I sometimes charge my mouse or plug my phone into it)

10m USB extension to the other side of the room > 4 port USB hub
And in the USB hub I have:
Wireless keyboard
Leap Motion device (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_d6KuiuteIA) (not quite sure how much bandwidth this requires, but I can't imagine it's much)
Xbox 360 Controller

The problem is, I keep getting the "device disconnected" sound from windows every few minutes, which is pretty annoying if I'm trying to watch a TV program. Usually the sound plays but everything still runs fine, but sometimes I also get "USB bandwidth exceeded" pop up notification.

Is there any inherrent problems here? Is plugging a 4 port USB extension into a 10m extension a bad idea? It's an active extension, is it just a cheap one? Would a better on work?

I don't have any USB hard drives or any high bandwidth peripherals, so I can't imagine the few things I have are actually exceeding the bandwidth. I've even plugged the 10m extension into a USB 3.0 port on my PC, whilst the rest are in USB 2.0 ports (to ensure they're on different controllers).

Here is my motherboard:

Had the wrong cable plugged into the USB 3.0 port!

Now that only the 10m extension is plugged into USB 3.0 port(s), it seems to be okay.
