Not your picture, we're on about ebay pictures not looking that great most of the time^^
Sorry missed novaenough post. They feel ok, can still feel the lumps on the band but the cover pads it a bit. Could add a bit of padding between the cover if needed.

But that won't hug the shape of the headband as it's one width all the way so will look like crap.

The wool one will go well on mine as mine is de-bumped and padded. This will just add some luxo-comfort :p

Who the **** is looking at your headphones? Comfort is first priority over grannies knitting.

My 701s with the dino were more comfortable than the X1s.

The X1 headband part that moves has no plastic skeleton like the AKG band does, how can that be less comfortable than the AKG with an additional layer of foam from that cover linked above? Sorry but for me the X1 was the most comfortable headphone I have ever put on my head be it my own, someone else's or in store demo headphones.

The only way I can get the Q701 headband to similar levels is if I snap off the AKG headband and buckle on a piece of cow hide with padded inner section. Big DIY job but worth the effort if I do indeed keep the Q701 for the long term (seems likely).

Also as mentioned earlier in this thread, adding such a thick cover increases the thickness of the headband which increases the distance on how the cups place on the head. So the more comfortable you can make it without having to add layers or padding the better it will be for cup position because the headband adjuster fully extended just about fits the cups bang in the middle of my head and I have a medium sized head with small ears.
