hi guys was thinking of getting this monitor BenQ XL2411Z 24" to run with my Radeon R9 280x would I be able to run this monitor on 144hz with this card. any help would be great

yes, easily. I suggest uping your budget by 50 and getting the 2430t

Yes they both include the DUAL LINK DVI cable required to run it at 144hz

what specifically is pushing you towards that monitor?

a lot of 144hz ones for around the £200 mark

the BenQ XL2411Z has good reviews on other sites so I thought it would be a good choice
looking for a good gaming monitor that can give me 144hz not fussed about 3d

I like the XL2411Z, bought one earlier this year and just picked up another one on the Black Friday deal for £165 :cool:

I think I read somewhere that AMD cards can't do 144hz only 120hz max, might be wrong though.

I have the BenQ XL2411T running off an AMD R9 290 and the interface suggests it's running at the screen's max 144Hz.

Not sure where you heard this but my AMD cards are running 3 screens @ 120/144hz on a regular basis
