mornin all!
after playing around and doing some reading it seems that i have found a way to fix the PCIe x16 dropping to x1 which results in a restart to get windows to read it as x16.
my setup:
6300 at 3.16 (450x7)
Asus P5B Deluxe w/ 1004 BIOS
2gb Geil 6400 ULL
MSI 7900 GTO
i have set my PCIe Latency to 110 in the BIOS and set the NB voltage to 1.5v, anything more than 1.5v and the PCIe link sets to x1.
not sure if people have found this out before but thought i post this anyway. may not work for all but it worked for me
