i wish i had more pics or info :(

looks like an awesome project.

The pics are linked from here

They way they would have done it is Stripped a supra down to just a floor pan then cut the floor pan down to size so its short enough.
Then they would weld the Pugs body onto the supra changed a couple shafts around like drive shafts and prop shafts buy getting smaller ones to fit the new size floor pan.

Its not really a Engine transplant or a Supra engine in a Pug. Its more a Pud body on a shortened Supra Floor pan ;)

Out of all the cars they could have chosen they chose a pug, they really could have done something a bit different at least

looks like they have chopped up the 205 to me, not used a supra floor plan.

i want to see the finished product! that looks fun! :D

Not at all from the looks of it. It looks like they've put the Supra running gear into the 205 shell, just look at how the gearbox is mounted right through the centre of the baulkhead - it wouldn't be like that if they'd used the Supra floorpan.

How many times have you seen a Supra powered 205?

This is the picture that makes me think it was a supra floor pan

Looked to me like they had it there to see what it would like like once done and to know when they would need to cut it.

If its not a Supra floor pan, why is it so long?

This has the potential to be a good project, I'm worried about a couple of thigns tho. I imagine that are wide arching it, but those rear struts look like they wont do any favours for the cars handling.

Thats definately a bog standard 205 thats seen more action from the angle grinder than I care to think about. Look around the bell housing of the GB through the Bulkhead! Nibblers anyone!??

Going to be rapid as you like when its done, but i'm still not sure if it will enjoy corners much!

I hope it works out!

WHAT!? I see no floor pan! I see a Rear axle and diff from a Supra being lined up against the actual car and its old rear Axle, probably to work out body overhang. Hence my 'wide arch' question.

EDIT: This car is going to be RWD, so there is no way they could use the old 205 axle.....

That's the rear subframe. Holds all the suspension/differential together, and is probably held on by 4-8 bolts - they took it off the Supra in a single lump, and will attach to the 205's floorpan in one lump - keeps all the original Supra suspension geometry/setup completely stock, without having to worry about ensuring the suspension is set up right - as the Toyota engineers did that bit already/

Sorry, been up for far too long :o

It is a better way to use the supra floor pan anyway because it doesnt mess up with the handling asmuch so it ccan still go around corners

It's not a floor pan. It's a rear subframe. Seperate things :)

Couple of pics to help.

This is what you'd call a floor pan (pics from the 200SX/Morris Minor project):

The rear subframe is all the suspension components only :)
