I note the Royal Mail have launched a mobile phone recycling service through the Post Office. Oddly, they appear to be loads more than the other sites.

They've just offered me £140 for my N95 8Gb. Whats the catch?

No catch, a colleague of mine recently sent an N95 off to them. Only problem was that they took a bit longer than Mazuma mobile to send the cheque to him (they say upto 14 days).

Got a cheque for £40 for my nokia 6300:) Don't think I paid much more than that when I bought it aaaages ago.

Just asked for an envelope for my 6300, it's not worth trying to sell the things on the bay, even if everything goes perfectly I'd probably only make a fiver extra once all the fees have been paid.

It doesn't have to work, but you get very little for a non-working phone. iPhone 3G is £140 for working and only £10 for non-working as an example.

Why are recycled phones worth so much? I sent a few off about 6 months ago and got about £200. Judging by these prices, I think I could've made quite a bit more. Where is the money to be made for them though?

£41 for my K850i, might give it to them, it's a piece of s*** anyway. Although when they say working, what do they mean by that? It will make phone calls, but the camera button is a bit dodgy at the best of times...
