Has anyone got a Crucial MX100 and are NOT having any issues? I was intending to use the 512GB one in my new build but I keep seeing reports of hanging and blue screening which obviously is putting me off. I'm not sure what I should be looking at instead?

To be honest that has put me off too. Think I may just get a larger evo

I have had a 256GB MX100 for quite a while, it is now in my Sons machine. It has been perfect. My 512GB should arrive in the next day or so.

I only saw a couple of bad reviews and that was on a certain rainforest site.

I've had an MX100 for about a month now and have no issues.

Crucial are good for reliability. I reckon those with issues are either PEBKAC or from the posts I have been skimming, people seem to be doing images from one SSD to the MX100 which might be the issue.

Of course you could be unlucky and get a defective component, but that goes for anything.

Out of the three hundred plus drives we have shipped so far we have only had 2 back so less than 1% return rate which is below the Samsung return rate on the 840 evo range. Yes we have sold more of those but it is still a % of total sales. I am not hearing any problems with the MX100 drives.

Thanks for chiming in, it's really appreciated. Hard numbers like this are really useful to gauge reliability, and hard to come by.

Just out of curiosity what sort of problems have you seen evo drives returned for?

the Samsung evo's have been out a lot longer than the crucial mx100 tbf

id rate Samsung #1 for reliability atm

a lot of issues come down to mb bios, running the latest one will help

was having the same problem + crashing every so often updated the bios and now everything is working fine :D

I don't get a breakdown of the returns. I can ask returns for more info but I think most of the reasons have been discussed above. It is usually down to driver and firmware issues.
