So, is Baz's airbag system a new thing? I know that they've been in use for a while but didn't know they collected so much data and were so, well, good!

They've been in development for several years but getting them to work right was very difficult. At first even a highside that the rider recovered from would make the suit fire the airbags so the rider would have it around him for the rest of the race so there's been a lot of fine tuning of G sensors and gyroscopes to detect when the rider has actually fallen off compared to when they've just got a lean angle of 60' or have just got on the power too quickly and the bike has had a slide. They need to monitor and react to all this information so they can decide to deploy or not.

Another rider to knock Rossi down the order too. There is no way Rossi is now capable of beating Marc and Dani on the Honda, Lorenzo on the same bike, and Stoner on a Ducati, not over the course of a full season.

Would have been great to see Rossi in his prime racing against these four now. I suspect he'd probably have the most titles out of the five of them, but he'd definitely not have the number he's got now, and the bike would have had a lot more to do with where the title ended up each year.

Looking forward to the racing this year, I just hope the mess from last year doesn't overshadow the racing this year. No doubt all eyes will be on Marc and Rossi at the first few races this year. Though it looks like Yamaha are ahead at the minute, so maybe they'll not even be racing each other the first few races. Definitely looks like Lorenzo has better pace at the minute, but that might change once the real racing starts.

The more in the mix the merrier for me. more guys up front would make better racing.

Nice to see Maverick at or near the top of the times across all 3 days, hopefully this is indicative of the Suzuki improving their engine to compete better with the Honda/Yamaha, he looked good in Moto3 and Moto2 so be good if he got the chance to race at the front.
