I tried to install on OS on my WD blue 1gb drive and when it was done it wouldn't boot it came up with read error.
After a few attempts at installing the OS I eventually moved it to another Sata port and reinstalled the OS.

It finally worked, the second time it booted though it needed to run Chkdsk to fix some indexing errors.
Also copying files from one Drive to another seems quite slow at times.
15 mins for 30 gig.

Over the last week Chkdsk has asked to be run at least 5 times.
In the Event log it tells me that the NTFS file system is corrupt.

I ran WD Data Lifeguard Diagnostic for Windows and all parameters are over 100 and marked as ok.

I really don't trust it now, any ideas?

Thanks.

Hey there, F2kSel.

It really sounds like a bothersome issue. :(

Even if the SMART status looks fine, I'd recommend that you try the drive with a different computer if possible and run both tests (Quick and Extended), to see if anything alarming pops-up. Here's how to do it: How to test a drive for problems using Data Lifeguard Diagnostics for Windows.

Please let me know what are the results of the tests.
