Spec me some DDR 4 (16GB)

Hi Chaps, bit clueless on the old DDR4.

Can someone spec me a 16gb kit, looking for the best balance of price / performance. PC will me mainly used for gaming and Home cinema with a bit of folding at home and video conversion. Copied here from the memory forum as it's sunk without trace.

Any kit will do, there's little to no difference between the slowest kit and the fastest. Just depends what look you fancy.

Faster ram does make a difference on skylake compared to other platforms. Get the fastest you can afford would be my recommendation.

Everyone seems to say 'buy cheap, it makes no difference' but on my i7-6700k build it made a good few FPS difference when running @ 3200MHz over stock, so definitely makes a difference. Might not on some systems but definitely worth going for faster RAM on Skylake.

It does for Skylake.

You're on X99 where it doesn't matter so much due to quad channel.
