Help with website

Hi all, am after a bit of advise for an issue with my partners company website, its a small solicitor firm which offers a fee estimate service that can be emailed but the emails are not being received by the clients.

The web developer wants more money to fix this and says the service needs to be upgraded. website is only 6 months old and hosted on godaddy, it was working fine up till about a month ago.

Have you checked your MX records on the server, to see if there are any errors/bouncebacks?

was it working and now stopped ? or never working ?

Thanks for the quick replies, I didn't build the website just trying to figure out what is going on. It was working ok up till about a month ago.

The ip 72.167.232.225 is black listed by spamhaus.

Probably shared hosting and someones been naughty. Being on the same IP has knocked out your partners email ability too.

Probably best to speak to godaddy and get them to sort it out.

Web dev is having you on if a service upgrade will fix it(unless they mean their own service upgrade. Ie support wasn't included in their package).

Edit: Also listed by CBL and Protected Sky.

Edit2: yeah theres a few thousand other domains using that IP some with rather dodgy names.

No worries. It's an easy fix yourself but godaddy should probably do it for you as someones clearly abusing the service and you'll only get blocked again unless they remove the account doing it.
