I'm looking to keep this as quiet as possible. This is why I chose an average graphics card as I heard these ones were fairly quiet. Anyone have thoughts on the heatsink? Does everything fit?

Rig will be used for office work, video editing (not 4k), music production, mild gaming.

The heatsink fits should have around 7mm clearance. TBH I'm not sure how the stock fans on it are so you might want to do some research and see how loud they are and maybe replace them.

As Micky said 960's are fairly quiet cards and will give you a boost in performance.

You mean the fans on the heatsink or the case?

You could also consider the Scythe Kotetsu or the Scythe Ninja 4 if you need or want a smaller heatsink.

Also maybe consider one of the asus z170 boards as they have very good bios settings and software to control fan speeds. I'm not sure how good the fan control settings are on the gigabtye boards.

Lastly any reason for the R4 over the R5?

Also not sure if you were getting the i5 6600k to overclock but as it looks like your not really trying to budget on your system maybe consider a i7 6700 which will be better for your video editing and audio production.

Sith uk i disagree about the watercooling unless its a custom set up not a pre built one as they have very noticeable pump noise i would say make sure you have some fans in the front of the case the better the airflow the less your components will have to spin their fans up.

I had heard those run a lot hotter and would cause more noise, no?

Isn't the R5 for watercooling?

Well the i5 6600k has a TDP of 91w where as the i7 6700 has a lower TDP of 65w so should run a little cooler and maybe allow you to run your fan's slower while keeping good temperatures. If your not going to overclock then maybe even a i5 6600 non k may be an option as it also has a TDP of 65w.

The R5 is just the updated and improved version of the R4. I would go for the R5.
