Help on Software

Hi All,

I bought my wife an MacBook Air 11 inch Laptop(Intel Core 2 Duo 1.4GHz, 2GB RAM, 64GB Flash Storage, NVIDIA GeForce 320M Graphics) back in the day, which absolutley loves.

However, it's running Snow Leopard 10.6.8 and Safari is now so old that we're getting "This version of Safari is no longer supported" messages all over the net.

What OSX can this hardware run in order to get a more modern browser ?
Alternatively - Do I just download Firefox and install that ?

All advice gratefully received, as I really know very little about Macs.

It should be able to run 10.11.

You should upgrade as soon as possible because the system hasn't received a security update since early 2014.

Is the model MC505B/A?
