I have the cutting tool in this kit... and it actually seems to do a really nice clean cut on the PETG tube, so I'm wondering what I use the chamfer tool for exactly as this just seems to make it all rough. Do I need to do inside and outside to creating a profiled edge, and then smooth off with the sandpaper? Or you can you just cut and then attach the fixings?

- Insert each end of the trimmed tube to the PETG Chamfer tool and rotate anticlockwise
- Use the Sand Paper to clean up the chamfered edges

Works for me.

You just do the outside.

The only reason you camfer it is so it doesnt damage the o ring when you slide it into your fitting.

OK thanks... how much do you need to chamfer it off then? Does it need to be a noticeable and obvious amount?

Not much, you just need to take the edge off so it can slide past the o rings without damaging them.

just found this

To be fair if you just sand it smooth its enough really, mostly you should just wet the end so it slides past nice and easy and it should be fine.
