And in 25 years we will think the same about that. When Battlefield 2042 install takes up 2TB and its like, great, only 8TB left

You'd think so but storage along with processor power seems to have hit a brick wall. Used to double every year or 2 now we're getting 15% on CPU over 4 years (my 3770K to current gen) and 4 years to double drive capacity.

Seems SSD drives is where the expansion is been concentrated on. Problem is that spinning platter drives are very difficult to increase in size. 10Tb is the current max. You arent sudenly ever going to get a 20 TB platter drive overnight that still fits the 3.5" form factor.

15TB was last years largest SSD and last month the 60TB was launched.

Reach 1PB of storage with just 17 drives...........

Thats 4 times the size in one year. :D

Picked up this gfx card, can't wait to play BF1 now. the store advertised it as a gamer's card, so am chuffed with that.
