CPU overclocked at 4.7ghz ???

Not in something that doesn't support SLI and is CPU bound...

Could you not sell both 1070s and get a 1080, then I'm sure the 2500k will hold it's own

I wouldn't personally, I think you'd be better off just running one 1070.

So far I'm finding my 2500k @ 5Ghz isn't enough for a single 1070 - and in a lot of games it's off the mark by a long shot.

Yes

Yeah I average around 80% GPU load in GTA V and Battlefield 1 as my CPU is loaded at 100%, Zen can't come soon enough.

Really surprised to hear that with a 2500k being no slouch especially at 5ghz.

it is now in games that utelize the extra power modern cpus have.

they are still pretty decent but it is time to start thinking of upgrading to modern i5/i7 cpus. or wait for zen with fingers crossed.

I don't think any CPU can truly max out a high end graphics card, certainly not an i5 anyway. DX11 is the biggest problem though. What resolution are you running?

I myself am running 1440p and I agree with you saying DX11 is part of the issue.
