I would like to assist my buddy with building a small pc for watching movies and general net use.

No monitor or keyboard required as it will be linked to the main television. I know there are HTPC but I am not familiar with them in general.

Had a brief look on Amazon and it seems there are mostly underpowered gaming machines rather than dedicated machines for this purpose.

Any advice would be appreciated! Budget should be in the region of £300 and in stock from overlclockers please.

Could get a Minix z64 or something similar? I have the android version and use that with a keyboard and mouse

Something like an intel NUC or gigabyte brix unless he's looking for a gaming system.

I have a brix with a celeron J1900 quad core. Runs fine for netflix, plex, and bringing the PC to the bigscreen. Even play an old DX9 model aircraft sim on it.

Are also pentium, I3 and I5 versions at higher prices

I have the Dual Core Pentium NUC with windows 10, 8Gb and a 240gb SSD and it works brilliant with the latest Kodi.
