Oh Canada!
I have a 4790K with 8GB of DDR3 1600 1.5V

I will be getting a 2X8GB (16GB) kit in July. I want to get a high speed kit like a 2400Mhz kit but I am concerned about the higher voltage.

I know that Intel recommends 1.5V or less with Haswell. My friend has a Sandybridge system that we built in 2011 that is still going strong with 1.65V RAM though.

How dangerous would it be to use 1.6 or 1.65V RAM with my 4790K? Will I wear down the CPU in any way?

Also do most 4790Ks play well with 2400Mhz RAM? Is there any kits (not tall plz) that people could recommend? I am in Canada and will be ordering from a large online retailer. I can get pretty much any kit out there.

Oh by the way I have an ASROCK Z97 anniversary board. Atx. Yes I know it's a cheap board but I had a G3258 in it before I upgraded.

Thanks!
