Isn't this exactly the same as what servers have had for years and years and years. Never heard of any serious exploits there.

DRAC, ILO, IPMI, BMC, Service Processor etc., all been around for ages and serve a similar function/purpose.

The difference being DRAC, ILO, IPMI, BMC etc are located outside of the CPU chipset. The post in the OP implies an additional processor residing within the confines of the CPU chipset.

Most of the people complaining against this will eventually be running on Windows 10 machines, which is basically just a big spyware/trojan application masquerading as an operating system.

LOL Hasn't this been disproven as being able to be exploited? IIRC the Chinese banned Intel x86 cpus in their government and military systems because of possible exploits by the US Government. I think they have developed their own for that specific use.
