Hi.
I'm looking to buy monitor to my PC:

HDD: GoodRam Iridium Pro 240GB
RAM: 2x HyperX Fury Black 4GB
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-B150M-D3H
PSU: Corsair VS 550W CP-9020097-EU
Graphic: MSI GeForce GTX 1070 Armor 8GB
Processor: i5-6500

I'm playing a lot, many types of games: FPS/RPG/Strategy/etc. nearly everything. I'm spending many hours at PC so flicker free and other eyes care systems are welcome.

First of all I was thinking about something budget:
http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/computing/pc-monitors/pc-monitors/aoc-i2369vm-full-hd-23-ips-led-monitor-with-mhl-21408588-pdt.html

But on another forum users said that I need 1440p to that setup.
Something like these:
https://pcmonitors.info/reviews/dell-p2416d/

or
http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/dell_u2515h.htm

or

https://iiyama.com/gl_en/products/prolite-xub2792qsu-b1/

I was nearly to get last iiyama monitor but I cant find it in UK shops.

I really need help to decide what I should to buy and where.
I don't know good PC/Monitor shops in UK (Scotland). I'm trying to avoid eBuy, but if someone would recommend any from eBuy I will be happy.

So please post here your ideas.

Thanks a lot and sorry for my english.

I personally recommend the Dell U2515H, great monitor for the money and can be had for just over £200 new if you shop around. 1440p is a great jump from 1080p and would suit your setup nicely in order to play games in 1440p as you've got a 1070 graphics card to go with it.

like Liam has said the Dell U2515H is a very good monitor, also have you looked at the Philips 258B6QJEB/00 25"? It also has a 5 year warranty.

I would agree with what you have been advised on other forums, that you really need to be looking at 1440 if you have a 1070.

Thank you guys.
I'll buy Dell U2515H.
Will post later my review.

You won't regret it, I was going to get the U2414H (24" version) instead as we run these at work and are also brilliant, but I read up about stepping into 1440p gaming and future proofing my hardware - and decided to go for the U2515H instead as it's 1440p as I found one elsewhere at a great place and I'm glad I did... I just need to try and save up for a GTX 1070 now as my 1060 struggles in some games lol.

Liam.

Currently an Asus GeForce Dual GTX 1070 OC is on sale for £349. If you could sell your 1060 for ~£230 then the difference isn't too large.

I have the 25 inch version of this monitor, i would recommend a 27 inch version of this monitor.

OK.
I got new Dell U2515H.
AND yes it could be 27" instead 25". But 25" works great anyway.

Unfortunatelly my monitor got 1 RED PIXEL. Can notice it only on bright background (white, yellow, etc.)

Can I have replacement with my RED PIXEL ?
It's some kind of bad luck cuz its my second monitor in my life with defects on panel. Only I have this kind of problems with monitor or its casual?

Personally I would send it back, either to where you bought it from or you can try Dell.

If you got it from Overclcockers you have up to 14 days to send the item back if your not happy with it.

Send it back.

Then maybe have a good look at getting a 144Hz Monitor , ( if you're lucky with G=Sync ) or if you can add a little to your budget that would give you more options.

eg. https://www.overclockers.co.uk/acer...-gaming-widescreen-led-monitor-mo-116-ac.html

not really sure it's worth spending anywhere near £300 on a plain IPS

Just fyi. Saying that you NEED 1440p because you have a 1070 is BS. Sure the 1070 is a good performer at 1440p but that doesnt mean that you NEED it. There are certainly titles that will stress it plenty at 1440p and personally i would prefer to have some grunts leftover for when games starts demanding more.

Ive had a 1070 myself and a 1440p gsync and it crunched through most of it without issue but there were problematic titles from time to time either due to poor optimization(usually the case) or just properly demanding. An example of this would be the witcher 3. I would say if you are using gsync you can be more forgiving about frame drops but if your not then you want a solid 60 or 75 or whatever matches your monitors refresh rate as drops will be seen and felt.

I would stay at IPS panel. It looks great. And I don't play CS:GO or other FPS game where i need more than 120FPS.

In my model it's impossible to save 60Hz option in Windows. Always it comes back to 59Hz. I think it's only kind of descync between GPU and monitor. Should I care about it?

Dell U2515H is great monitor, only that 1 bad pixel dissapoints me.
I unpacked the monitor with all tapes and covers. I opend all bags for cables etc. Can I send it back while everything is unpacked?

The Dell warranty says they'll replace for even one bright pixel. So just get it changed. They'll send you a box for it. Probably even cross ship you a replacement.

From the Dell page on the U2515H:

Premium Panel Guarantee:
The Dell Premium Panel Guarantee2 allows a free panel replacement during the Limited Hardware*Warranty3period even if only one bright pixel is found.
