(I am hoping Daniel the LG rep is around to answer this)

The new LG 27UD88 4K monitor is now on sale in the USA and its details have been listed on the German LG website but no listing yet on the UK LG website.

Do you know if / when this monitor is coming to the UK?

Is there any difference in the panel between the 27UD88 and the LG27UD68 other than the brightness? (i.e coating, uniformity, colour accuracy/gammut etc). It appears the only difference is the UD88 can reach 350cd/m2 and the UD68 only goes to 300cd/m2.

What he said although 27UD68P does exist which looks like a UK version of the LG27UD68W

Hi All

27UD88 is coming yes, we are just trying to sort out the pricing

would expect stock within a couple of months as I don't want to forecast any stock to HQ if its at a horrendous price

Dan

Thanks :)

I'd be really grateful if you could help me out on one more thing. I have found it impossible to get a definitive answer on the brightness of its sister monitor the 27UD68 (please read as you will see there is some confusion within LG about this):

LG UK website says : 300cd/m2 (27UD68-P)
LG DE website says : 300cd/m2 (27UD68-W)
LG USA website says : 350cd/m2 (27UD68-W)
Called USA LG support : checked paperwork and confirmed 350cd/m2
Called UK LG support : said "maybe" 27UD68-W is a different panel to 27UD68-P but they didn't know. Didn't even have a manual to check. "Honestly we just don't have the information to give you."

So I then messaged a youtuber who owns the 27UD68-W and reviewed it, he says both his box and manual say 350cd/m2.

So 2 questions :

1) Are the 27UD68-W (white stand) and 27UD68-P (black stand) the same monitor panel with the same brightness just a difference in stand?

2) Is the 27UD68-P a 350cd/m2 monitor?

Many thanks

I notice that this is now in stock. Just raised a ticket to ask about it, and I understand it lacks the USB type-C connection (for carrying data, audio and 4K video over a single cable), which is a shame.

Still - looks really nice and I'm seriously considering it.

Sorry for the thread bump, but any idea why this eeems to be out of stock in the UK? Is it still a current model and will OC be getting any more stock if it?

Thanks!

Just to add - the LG 27UD68-W is the same as the UD68-P, just in white rather than black.
I'm trying one out at the moment and it seems a rather nice monitor to use.
Good build quality and looks too.
I have the brightness at 20-25 - you'll never need 350nits brightness unless you're using outdoors in bright sunlight.

Normally in the car
Ascender - merely a shortage due to a gap between stock selling out and us getting more in - Gibbo has his PO on already so should see stock early next week if all goes well

stuartharrison - you are correct in that the 27UD68-W and 27UD68-P are only different in colour - BUT - what is sold in the UK is infact 27UD68P (no dash) - this is because the model we have here in the UK is height adjustable and has pivot, whereas the 27UD68-W/27UD68-P are fixed stand
