Hi guys,
I rebooted one of our ESXi 6 hosts for a RAM upgrade today, and accidently didn't plug back in an external USB drive that was used for passthrough to a VM before powering on.
ESXi seems to be a tad awkward unless the device is connected at bootup.
The USB device is listed when running lsusb. I've tried restarting the usbarbitrator service and hostd on the ESXi host, however when checking the VM, it still shows the USB device as unavailable.
Any idea's how I can resolve this without rebooting the host?
