Will I run into any issues?

Will i run into any issues if I have 4x8gb ram sticks in my asrock z170 extreme4 motherboard?

I wanted 32gb of ram and instead of buying 2x16gb which was £140 I bought 4x8gb ram which cost me £120 for the sake of £20 saving I was thinking of returning them and buying 2x16gb.

My question is would I run into any issues having 4x8gbs on my Asrock z170 extreme4? which will have a i5-6600k cpu.

It should work fine. The board can in theory handle 64GB RAM i.e. 4 sticks of 16GB.

It's like buying a 16GB kit of 2x8 and deciding later on to upgrade with another 2x8 kit.

You may find that you need to tweak some timings when overclocking.
Xmp may not work, but it might be fine..

thanks for the tip guys, in the end I realised that 16gb is way more than what i need so i decided to sell a set off.
