So my computer has been running fine for the longest time, no problems, and my friend bought an SSD decided to test it to see what speeds he was getting.
I decided to test mine to give him something to compare his to, and noticed I was only getting 280mb/s read speeds. I should be getting over 500mb/s

Checked the intel Rapid storage tool and its reporting my SSD as SATA2 3GB/s
I've check the bios and installed the latest drivers, and I cant figure out why it's stuck in SATA2 mode.
My motherboard is an ASRock Z97 Extreme4

check the Samsung magician software, it states what port its connected too.

is achi enabled on the sata ports as well? the above software will also state if achi is enabled or not

Hmm... It looks like I can't get the full 6gb/s speed because I have my SATA ports configured for RAID (I use 2 velociraptors in RAID0)

That sucks big time. Looks like I'll have to replace them with a single drive. I'll try and pick up a 3TB drive somewhere.
