Hello,

I thought it would be a good idea if we had a thread for people to post screenshots of their cooling results! There are a lot of conversations discussing air-cooling vs water cooling etc, so it will be interesting to see the evidence in one place, and may prove useful to someone who is looking to buy a decent cooling set-up.

All you need to do is install this software and run the test! :)

OCCT v. 0.91

it will take approx 30mins and will give you a set of six graphs that you can post up here. Make sure when you configure OCCT that you select the correct sensors. If your Chipset/Mobo graphs don't indicate a rise in temperature during this test then you probably have the wrong sensor selected in OCCT!

Graph #1 = CPU TEMPERATURE
Graph #2 = CASE/MOBO TEMPERATURE
Graph #3 = CPU VOLTAGE (vCore)

I look forward too seeing the results from peoples uber Air-Cooling/Water-cooling rigs and of course the VapoChill Crew!

Results submitted so far:

  • Alphacool NexXxos Waterblock Dual AQX 50Z pumps (in series)

  • Arctic Cooling Freezer

  • Akasa Evo 33

  • Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro

  • Gigabyte G-Power Pro

  • Mrchu Custom "ghetto" watercooling

  • Prometeia Mach II GT (Phase Change)

  • ThermalRight SLK-947U Heatsink

  • ThermalRight SI-120

  • ThermalRight XP-120

  • Scythe Ninja

  • Zalman Fatal1ty Flower

  • Zalman Reserator 1+

  • Vapochill Micro Extreme

  • Zalman CNPS7700-CU

NOTE:please look at the first set of results below and try to format your post in a similar fashion. I wanna see your CPU, vCore that you set in BIOS and of course whatever cooling you are using. It doesn't matter if your hardware is listed in your signature as this can change!! :)

My Reserator is black, by the way :p
I like how my case temperature was the same throughout this test. I'm using the right sensor and everything, I just have the side off.

Remember, this test was in complete silence. Except for the ringing in my ears. Oh :(

Well it aint vapochill.... its BETTER! Mach 2 gt cooled athlon 4000 @ 3ghz @~1.72v

Getting a bit toasty there under load :D Not as tuned as it could be... Dont want to be getting into cold bug territory though...

Passive Zalman chipset with 4 rows of pins broken off :p (needed to do it to fit my 7800gt in!!)

Tell me if there is anything i should worry about from these!!! Please!

P4 3.0Ghz At 3.2Ghz with a Zalman CNPS9500 at full.

Think the first one is mobo temp.

Theres a problem with the IC7-G registering temps to high on the CPU, there actually 5-10*C lower.
