Oi! Copyin' is cheatin' !!!! :D

Mods, please merge/delete one of the threads please - ta..

In the mean time what do the experts (Baddass?) think from what's been written up?

Looks expensive... actually checking the price, if you have that kind of money to spend on a display you may as well go right to the 30" IMO?

Very Expensive, Ugly, same reso as 2407, bad pixel pitch 27" has a .303 pixel pitch. The The 30 has a .250 and the 24 has .270. Overall a failure.

I will never never want a monitor above 24" on my desk. Just wrong lol.

Maybe im a funny person, but I always prefer monitor to stay max at 24" and Tv to be 32" and above.

Agreed.

I'm a bit skeptical about two companies selling the same panel, one with 1000:1 contrast ratio and one with 3000:1. If it's just some image processing trick (making black look darker by making everything else on screen brighter), then it's not a real 3000:1 at all, it's just a marketting trick. If it's done by adjusting the backlight on the fly, I suppose you could claim that's nearly a real 3000:1, but it still isn't really. That would at least be worth having though.

I wonder if you set both screens to complete black, whether there's any difference at all.

Shame they don't use an IPS panel in this and only silver?

Also considering HD stuff is 1080p max why would anyone buy this over a 2407 at that price!

Ive said this once before but i will repeat it nonetheless...

i always objected quite strongly to silver bezels as they seriously dont look as nice as the black (more so in a photo than in real life mind you). However, i must say that when using my sisters silver 19" belinea that i bought her for xmas (i had to have a quick play on it), i found the silver much comfier on my eyes than the black bezel on my 2407. However, at that time i had just read a Benq statement posted on this forum that said something along the lines that a black bezel causes a greater contrast to what you are looking at on the screen which can result in eye strain. I think i bought into it then, and i still do. I will choose silver over black in the future.

However, i will probably just find that it had nothing to do with the bezel and everything to do with another variable such as my bright blue desktop wallpaper, or perhaps the brightness at ridiculous%

oh well :p
