Well, I'll take PC Advisor as a source over a lot of the random benchmarks that have been popping up.

Interesting to see no great difference in Stalker. Are these mean framerates?

I guss so ...

The review is positive, 'GOLD' award.

Verdict:

".....HD 2900XT is an excellent card with a strong performance - and its cheaper then 640mb GTS. With an enticing software bundle [but doesnt state what this is] this is a winner"

@ £249 it would be superb! Thats the thing as the bundle alone does make it worth it! When you look at most packages you will obviously get the Half-Life Black Box w/Eps 2 and Team Fortress included then on top of that you can get Stalker also! Some people have it to be fair but still...

A lot of games and a pretty good performing card, at the price it looks mighty nice! I still can imagine it creeping up around £300 tho

They will proberly refine the entire line up so the HD2900 cards all eventually become HD2950 type cards similar to what happen with the X1900 range of cards.

Either that or just the HD2950XTX :p

Wonder what the scrores would be like if the 8800 had better drivers. that i think is going to be the key to which card is better, cos i don't think those who buy the 2900 will be to happy if they don't arrive with good drivers
