Looks like the new GTS on the 19th Nov is going to be a screamer and will make people sell their GTX just like people are selling GTS now.

Well here's EVGA's lineup. Let's hope ocuk stock them all

1. EVGA 512-P3-N801-AR GeForce 8800GT 512MB - 600/1800MHz (default)

2. EVGA 512-P3-N805-A1 GeForce 8800GT 512MB - 675/1950MHz (OC)

3. EVGA 512-P3-N806-A1 GeForce 8800GT 512MB - 700/2000MHz (OC)

If the last one is £170-£180 I think I'll go for that. It always gives me the option to step up to a 8800 GTS on 19th November.

Absolutely seems like selling my 8800GTS for now will be a great deal, but i'm still not convinced that these cards are faster than my overclocked GTS, espically seeing as the GT has worse cooling, so probably won't overclock as well?

If you wanna step up, do you pay the difference your retailer is offering or is it how much eVGA is charging?

You pay the difference between what you paid for your card and what EVGA thinks the new one is worth.

Completely worthless IMO. When I first got my GTX, it ran really hot so wanted to step up to a GTX ACS3 for the better cooling and slight overclock. They wanted me to pay £120+ shipping or something crazy like that.

less volts, smaller die, worse cooling but will overclock just as well.

Pre -oc bfg and EVGA are coming out at 700Mhz - 100Mhz oc so I guess you will be able to take it higher and that won't be the limit.

Bit like the GTS now. Fastest pre-oc is 588 - up from 500 but most GTS cards get to 631 min.

I guess an aftermarket cooler would help and might let you get 750+ territory which will take it past stock GTX performance never mind your oc'd GTS.:D

Yeah but with these cards been so new and hot there may not be any difference between ocuk price and evga website price. Same when the new GTS comes out.

So I'll check EVGA website first. If same or very similar then I'll only end up paying the normal difference between the Gt and GTS in price.

I might get a couple of these and SLi them. Would the performance be as good/better than a GTS? (Baring in mind it's only the 256mb one).

i'd think the 256Mb will cripple it in a lot of games. Main reason I'm getting shot of my 320Mb GTS.

If going for SLI GT's you should get two 512Mb versions IMO or your wasting your time.

And remove that link before the mods do and suspend you. No links to ocuk competitors.
