May have been mentioned in other threads but you can get SP1 by following these instructions, it adds a registry key that causes windows to download and install the latest service pack via Windows update :D

Download this file and follow the instructions included

Don't do it!!!!!!!

Echostorm writes with word that Windows Vista SP1, which began rolling out via Automatic Update, has left some users' machines unbootable. The update loops forever on "Configuring updates: Stage 3 of 3 — 0% complete. Do not turn off your computer." "Shutting down"... restart and loop. Echostorm notes having found traces of what sounds like the same bug in early beta releases of SP1. It's unclear how many users are affected. So far there is no word on a fix from Microsoft.

I think I do, its a joke however you still posted a valid point...

Anyway I have it installed and working perfectly now :) Thanks for the linky

Isn't this just the latest RC, at least if it's the same method out lately?
Just use torrents to get the proper RTM, it's on my pc now and the system really does feel a lot snappier, espically after the caching processes are done :)
And it's fixed my annoying network bug i think(opening programs it always seemed like it was offline at first, causing firefox and thunderbird for instance to throw a "can't connect to server" error)
