off topic whats the best way to install new gfx drivers?

I normally remove the driver from add/remove progs, (also run a ccleaner...think its my ocd lol) reboot the system, then install the drivers?

would jump and down but had to send the 4870 back to ocuk and pay 24£ postage  hope they will refund the postage fees as it is not my fault that i receive faulty product

just do a normal uninstall via windows uninstall program , forget driver cleaner pro and Driver Sweeper, u shouldn't need to use that anyway really. windows uninstall program should remove everything it needs. with driver cleaner pro and Driver Sweeper it sometimes removes more than it should.

personly i just install over the top (upgrade option).

same :). When igot my 3870 this week i just put in and it worked haha. So havent bothered with any proper drivers yet. Device amanger says im on 8.504 or something like that which it says was releases 2/6/08

mine went at 90kb/sec and i have 2mb. Still slow for that even though.

Anyway what happens if i just install this over the top of what i have? By literally opening the exe.
