Nice wee addition in terms of effects :)

Looks to neaten up the lighting in Crysis a fair bit so I may have to give this a wee go :D

To put it really simply ambient occlusion gives more apparent depth to a scene by darkening areas that are recessed in the geometry. Its a little more complicated than that in practise and usually comes at a significant performance hit.

Bit confused by the Crysis comparison

Surely that "without" pic is not how it looked without this driver? Was ambient occlusion on by default before?

The bottom shot does look better & that should come under I.Q & if that improvement can be added across the board & not just Crysis then NV has something to shout about because simply put it looks better.
But i don't like loosing some of the brightness on the corrugated fence at the back, there is always a trade-off when it comes to post processed contrast.

Nice find LoadsaMoney. Thank you for posting. Occlusion looks like nice eye candy allright. Even less FPS in crysis;)

So on XP you dont get the option in the control panel. driver seems fine though. had a look in crysis but impossible to tell if anything looks different.

Driver seems to be missing quite a few bits and pieces under the "bonnet" so might be worth giving it a miss.
