These are the progress pictures of a 1.8T VAG engine transplant in to a customers V6 MG ZS180 by Reyland Motorsport.

Dave’s been badgering me to update the tread but I have been too busy, so while I’m updating this
Dave I’m not working on your car.. See what I mean?

Anyhow as you all know the V6 is long gone,

The lower steady bracket was on the wrong side so a new one was made:

Intercooler in place: (using original V6 rad with a fan on the inside)

Engine is in bits at the moment having internals sorted, gearbox is apart too. Engine bay gets painted on Monday and once the engine and box are back together they will be fitted for the last time.
Will try and keep this updated through the week.

Yes a ZS is the same as a 45.

Rover did make a 1.8T K series that went in the 75 but it wont be that.

It will be a VAG 1.8T im guessing (cant see the pictures either) same as the Reyland 1.8T Yellow MG ZR they have made.

Yes, it is the VAG 1.8T engine.

I think the owner decided against modifying the V6 as the cost vs power gain meant that the 1.8T conversion was a much better idea. His V6 engine was still working so he sold it.
