yeah, it's retarded how long they're taking to update them, lots of miffed users on their forum triggered this release

i don't know why they don't just make a driver for all cards..

ie, one XP Xonar download, one Vista Xonar download.

and just control it with inf's, this is what creative do

A heads up, the Vista set doesn't work in Win 7 (well for me anyway), they install fine, but everytime i try and change the drop down speaker option from 2 to 5.1, it comes up with the old blah blah blah has stopped working, windows is looking for a solution rubbish and closes the Audio Centre down. :(

Will see how the XP set fairs (in XP obviously :p).

These may have fixed one of my issues. Managed to play Rome: Total War without sounds going missing in EAX2 mode last night. EAX still isn't perfect and it gets a bit crackly but it seems to be an improvement. EAX 3 still doesn't work (GX on or off).

The problem only ever became apparrent with extended play, but I'm hopeful that it's better.

I had my Xonar D2X connected via optical to my Subwoofer/amp and the Asus Xonar software control panel never registered any audio as playing and none of the control options did anything until I installed these beta drivers :)

Two thumbs up from me!
