Help with Engineering - Vee threads

Please define a Vee thread, im struggling to find anything worth copying and pasting on google..

V thread - also known as a "sharp" thread, usually 60 degree threads.

Because the thread is shaped like a V.

It's a thread for standard metric and imperial taps,how you define it I'm not sure.Only been nobbin about as a toolmaker for 13 years

In 8 years of working in engineering, I've never seen a true vee-form thread in literature or otherwise. Maybe I missed it in Machinery's Handbook?

That's because they're not normally used. The tolerances needed to get an exact V for each part of the thread means that it's just not worth it. Instead, they use something similar to the American National one seen above.

Its also a stress point issue., include in the tool wear for an exact point and it becomes expensive and pointless!

- In the outlets of the Tubing Head Spool, the API 6A indicates that a preparation for a Valve Removal Plug should be use.

That prepation is made with a special type of threar, 1.9 Sharp Vee. I want to know how to make that thread and with what tools?
