OMG have you seen this cooler

Yes, not surprisingly. I was under the impression that air cooled pelts are a bad call, so I'll wait for someone else to drop a ton on it first.
 
Yeah, I know I guy who has one. He stripped out the stock pelt and replaced it with his own and apparently it was still not very good.
 
Only problem I can see is that it is basically just a big massive air cooler until, I quote, "the TEC kicks in when the cpu reaches extreme temps".

That to me says everything. If it was any good as an air cooler the cpu will never reach extreme temps for the TEC to even switch on. Therefore it must be pants as an air cooler to need the TEC.

And ocuk descriptions just get even funnier:

I just googled some reviews. switch the tec off and the temps are onlt 3 degrees higher and even on does not cool any better than any other good air cooler.
 
You think they got bored one day and thought 'I know, let's make the worst looking, power hungry CPU cooler that you could only use in a car but put it in a PC instead' hmmm members of the board need to have a word with themselves methinks :D
