I havnt upgraded for a while now, i was useing Q9400 maximus formula II which would run 3.93g 24/7 no issues for a year +
well I waited untill all the revisions of the X58 boards and updated revisions of certain asus boards had come and gone. and went for the P6TD 920 DO
and tri channel corsair GT 1866 memory.
well so far iam pleased, lapped the 920 D batch No 3927A472 with Corsair Dominator GT 6GB. then installed my water cooling back with a Swiftech Apogee GTZ SE CPU Water Block and XSPC X2O block for the N/B.
results so far
CPU 4.0G 1.265V memmory 7.8.7.20 1T
idle temps 30c load 52c prime stable 18hrs seems like a good chip at 1.265v
will push it further when its been up a few weeks.
