Sky BB Help

Hi have just connected to Sky unlimited today and only connecting at 4096, I was getting over 9000 with my previous provider, the SNR on sky is 17? What can I do guys as its not the speed it should be.

Leave it 10 days and do nothing - don't switch your router off etc. If the 7-10 days pass and no change call them up after that.

It's skys DLM potentially at work (dynamic line management) it should rise over the first few days working out the max that your line is capable of.

Ah ok I was on ADSL2 I belive so just got the full speed without waiting, so it should get quicker in the 10 days>

In theory yes - they all start around 4mb and the router/dlm should gradually adjust it up until the line becomes unstable and then it sync's at the highest stable speed - that's the theory!!

Yeah, mine started off at 4096, but now running at 14328 that was about a month ago - jumped from 4 > 8 (about a week)> 12 (2nd week) > 14 when I checked the other day, the account pages say that my line will only support 6 so I'm happy

Well the upload speed has gone up to 796 from 512 so we are moving up in speed! Come on D/L speed hurry up please
