How do these compare to onboard controllers, similar, slower, better?
Also I'm possibly blind but I can't see if these are bootable, as in have c:/ on one.

They are indeed bootable drives.

Generally much faster and of a higher quality than that found on a standard motherboard. Something that I myself will be looking into shortly

Hi, I was wondering if i boot my SSD from one of these controller cards, will TRIM still be enabled? I can't seem to find the answer anywhere online.

For TRIM to work you just need Windows 7 and a SSD which supports TRIM. It won't matter how the SSD is connected to your SATA controller and one of these controller cards won't stop TRIM from working

Will this work on a ASUS Crosshair IV Formula? I'd like the RAID option for my OCZ Vertex 2 SSD's if it's also going to be faster than the on bord stuff. Any reviews, tests at all?

Hi, if anyone has one of these, how are people finding these perform at 6gps?

Seen some reports that the Asus U3S6 card doesn't do to well, with SATA 3 performing even slower than most boards' SATA 2?

Marvell 9128 chipset - same as on my MSI P67 board - so should be the same performance.

Any chance of getting in some cards with a higher number of ports? The Highpoint Rocketraid 27xx (4-8 ports) for example.. am planning to build my own NAS and it's a bit frustrating to get everything from here but have to go elsewhere for this one component. Just an idea.
