I just got a parcel today from Formatt, makers of Hitech filters. They have produced a new version of their 10 stop filter and this time it comes with a gasket like the Big Stopper. It is also available in both 85mm & 100mm sizes and Formatt are taking orders for it now.

I will have a play about with it over the next couple of weeks and see if it compares to my Big Stopper.

I have Lee and Hitech filters. If this follows the trend, it will not give nothing like as good results as my big stopper....BUT it will give good results for the money.

I'll be interested to see the colour cast produced by this.

I'm waiting for my first Lee NG grad - I've had the holder and bits sat on the side for ages now...

Me too. This is the version for the Hitech filter holder, I have to wait till next week to they send me the Lee version. Then I can get out to test it. I have the original 10 stop from Hitech which was terrible for colour casts and light leakage. I have been assured from Formatt that the new dye in this one is a lot better in dealing with the IR casts of the previous one.

I will post my results. The Lee ND grad is worth waiting for. I use mine all the time.
